In all likelihood, many dealerships across the nation will go out of business, Fulton said. "I do believe we're going to end up with maybe ... half as many dealerships as we have now," Fulton said. Consumers are doing their car shopping on the Internet and are more willing to buy from no-haggle sellers far outside of their city's borders, if that's where the best deals are, he explained.
